THEMES AND FOCUS
CHILD POVERTY
Child Poverty brings intergenerational sustainability to livelihoods interventions and long-term benefits not only for the individual child but also for national economic and social development. Programmes under Child Poverty can effectively increase the nutritional, health and educational status of children and reduce the risk of abuse, exploitation and neglect.
CHILD PROTECTION
Child Protection programme works to protect children from all forms of violence, abuse, and exploitation including child marriage and gender based violence. We also work to ensure that children who are not receiving appropriate, continuous and quality care from family members or caregivers are able to live in a protective environment.
EDUCATION
Education sector works to ensure that every child receives a good quality education and gains the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the 21st century. We support programmes that are proven to promote learning in school and in the community. And we influence national policy to improve children’s access to quality education, from pre-school care through to adulthood.
HEALTH, NUTRITION AND HIV/AIDS
Health, Nutrition and HIV/AIDS sector contributes in saving the lives of newborns, children, youth, adolescents and mothers in Bangladesh, as well as to play a catalytic role in fostering positive changes in policy framework and facilitate system changes. The sector works on maternal & newborn, child, adolescent health nutrition and HIV/AIDS related services through capacity building, advocacy, campaign, improved planning & strengthening coordination between communities and healthcare service providers.
HUMANITARIAN
Disaster preparedness and risk reduction play a major role in preventing the loss of lives and livelihoods during disasters. We as the humanitarian and development organization are committed to reducing children’s and their care giver’s vulnerability to humanitarian crisis, ensuring their right to survival and development.
POLICY RIGHTS GOVERNANCE
Policy, Rights and Governance sector (PRG) works with civil society coalitions, parliamentarians, young people, and in partnerships with institutions such as the National Human Rights Commission to advocate for better legal protection, strategic policy formulation and investment for children in Bangladesh.
GLOBAL CAMPAIGN
Save the Children's global campaign – Every Last Child – will tackle some of the key causes of exclusion in order to help set the world on the trajectory to end preventable child deaths and achieve learning for every child within a generation. Every Last Child has the right to survive, learn and be protected. We are doing whatever it takes to reach the world’s most excluded children.
SUPPORT SERVICES
Support Services - such as Finance, Human Resources, ICT and many more – are the key enablers to the organization’s success. Save the Children’s support services fulfills day-to-day needs, accommodates requests from programmes, ensure compliance which means they act as a true business partner, rather than a stand-alone function that gives us the opportunity to work with diversified people.
Ambition for Children 2030
and 2016 –2018 strategic plan

In recent decades the world has made unprecedented progress for children. Yet our mission is as urgent and relevant as ever before: millions of children are being left behind and denied the opportunity to survive and fulfil their potential.
We will do whatever it takes to ensure that all children survive, learn and are protected by 2030. We will work to achieve the rights of all children, but we will put the most deprived and marginalised children first and advocate for others to do the same. We will judge our and other’s successes against our ability to reach these children.
